Common sense
Felipe Fonseca enviou um email sobre a SubNews 12. Ele diz: Só não sei quanto ao Weinberger. Quando ele fala em common sense, é americanismo demais. Não a expressão em si, mas a mitologia do Thomas Paine: Common Sense Pamphlet.
Realmente, do ponto de vista do velho panfleto, a idéia de common sense se faz pela institucionalização de idéias, regras e, palavras de ordem. O pensamento do Weinberger vai por outro caminho. Uma outra forma para lidar com essa idéia de comum. Encontrei esse textinho:
By "common sense" I mean the set of values and rules that are so obvious that we don't even think about them. For example, if your rocking chair has caught a dog's tail under the runner, you lean forward to free the tail. If someone wants to argue about this -- seriously argue -- we will think, quite properly, that this person is significantly out of step with our culture.
Now, take our current world, viewed through common sense, and remove space and matter, and thus many of the laws of physics. Change the rules of the world and what was once common sense now makes no sense. That's why the Web is so puzzling so often. It's lacking common sense.
Elements of the new common sense include:

Da minha parte, esses conceitos me atendem. Mas não me completa. Negri e Hardt tratam desse tema: The production of ideas, images, and knowledges is not only conducted in common - no one really thinks alone, all thoughts is produced in collaboration with the past and present thought of others - but also each new idea and image invites and opens new collaborations. The production of languages, finally, both natural languages and artificial languages, such a computer languages and various kinds of code, is always collaborative and always creates new means of collaboration. In all these ways, in immaterial production the creation of cooperation has become internal to labor and thus external to capital. [Negri & Hardt, Multitude, 147] Isso faz o link, não?
Vivemos o paradigma da emergência de uma nova genealogia. Conceitos como comum e moral estão em ebulição. Não é mais necessário uma instituição levantar alguma bandeira. Existem formas mais produtivas de estabelecer novas relações. O presente é passagem, transição, movimento. Não há mais necessidade de operar a mudança social, ela se faz permanente... em rede.
